Mysterious Affair at Styles by Agatha Christie…

Book Review by,

Janhavi Battalwar.

Reading mysteries can soothe an itch in your brain you never knew existed. However, finding a good book can take some time. Which is why I have taken the effort instead and decided to let you have the fruits.

I present to you ‘The Mysterious Affair at Styles’ by the ‘Queen of Crime’. With the best workmanship of writing style at her disposal, Christie’s crime classic is sure to satisfy the needs of anyone looking for a simple yet clever piece of murder.

Arthur Hastings narrates to us the wonderfully cozy events of the neat crime. After being invited to stay at his old friend’s family home in Styles; all Hastings expects is some time of peace and enjoyment. But when the lady of the house is poisoned in the middle of the night, who will risk a guess at one of the notoriously uptight Cavendishes? Surely not Hastings, surely not Scotland Yard…

Rather, the retired Belgian detective; whom Arthur once knew and the Cavendishes now know as a neighbour. Or maybe the rowdy house helps you either love or hate.

At the end of the day, a murderer sits at breakfast and the best bet anyone has is the eccentric little man and a somewhat mad woman.

A 5/5 read I loved and a thrilling treat for everyone above 10, this is a book I ask you to read as soon as you can, even if you are not a fan of murder mysteries.

I hope you will have as good a read as I did.
