What’s in my bag?

Decoding My Bag: Items That Define Me ❤

We all have that one bag that goes with us wherever we go. Be it a purse, a backpack, a wallet or even a pocket. That thing carries our entire life in it. And I believe, what’s in someone’s can say a lot about them.

Today, I will walk you through mine and try to share what I think each piece represents about me as a person.

First of all, my bag is a clean, plain, black satchel. The slinged pattern is convenient to carry around, and the size is small enough to not be too bulky. But large enough for 2 books and some bits and bobs.

The first thing I have, is a compact mirror. I always need to check in on my face and hair. I think mirrors are one of the best things we’ve invented. Quite honestly, I’ve never known WHY mirrors were so important to me. I guess I’m just Maleficent. I always love pulling it out whenever anybody says ‘I wish there was a mirror’. I also have no idea what that says about me as a person. Although I guess, it shows I’m the type who is quite conscious of they appear.

Then, I have my emotional support kindle. I love that little device. It’s easy to carry, lightweight, and doesn’t let you get distracted. Most of the time, I won’t actually be able to read. I just feel safe if I have it. At least I know I won’t be taken by surprise in boring situations. Again, no idea what you make of me based on this information. My first thought would be that I am a person with no taste for boredom. Or a complete bore myself. Though I assure you I can be interesting when I want to. :))

I have this assumption, that leaving my house without the book I’m reading at the moment is absolute uncultured behaviour. Not that it is, I just feel that way. I was raised to love books, and keeping them all home, feels like leaving a piece of me behind. I’m a person who doesn’t get easily attached, but if I do, there is no turning back for me. I’ve also depended on books to constantly supply me information and keep me interesting. So, the need remains.

I keep a mechanical pencil with a tiny notepad for emergency notes, shopping lists, or any important memos. I don’t write much when I’m outside, but inspiration can strike at the worst times, so keeping writing utensils comes in handy. I guess you could say I like to believe in my creative abilities. LOL.

There’s this really cute Snoopy pouch I have from Miniso, which I keep my “beauty” products in. I have a sun stick, Vaseline and perfume. All barely the size of my palm, if not less. My lips get chapped really easily, so I need the Vaseline. Sunscreen is for re application on a particularly sunny day and the perfume keeps me from smelling. Which is a phobia I have, to end up stinking. I like to stay and look clean no matter what.

I also have mints, which came from the same phobia, but also my love for their taste. I sometimes keep chocolate, for super long days. I like having the two together. Honestly, no idea what to make of this choice of mine, so I’ll leave it up to you. [Comment down below what you made of this]

Lastly, my favourite, are the headphones. I have the JBL 720 BT over the ears model. It doesn’t have noise cancellation because my head hurts if the sound is too concentrated. I like the murmur of the world in the background anyway. I use my headphones to block out the world, zone out and just not think. I have a LOUD brain, so getting it to be quiet is one of my priorities on long days. The two artists that are doing the job right now, are Stray Kids and ABBA. A few other artists I’m loving at this moment are Billie Eilish, Ariana Grande, Lamp, Lorde, Arctic Monkeys etc. These people are saviours!!

I would say I’m the type of person who likes to look like she has everything under control, no matter the truth of the situation. Because at the end of the day, I WILL have a solution, and sort my stuff out. Other than that, I’ll leave it to you to figure out through the article above.

I hope you enjoyed this, because I wanted to try something new.

Comment what you made out from this article about me, and don’t shy away from sharing your favourite on-the-go essentials.

Love,

Janx 🙂
