Hi! So… *awkward silence*

*Silence intensifies*

To address the elephant in the room; yes, I was on a break; no, it was not intentional.

A while ago I started the first year of junior high school, the navigation of which has been easy to say the least.

It was new enough without trying to keep about 20 people entertained. I tried to post once every 2 weeks whenever I felt it. But I can’t work without a deadline. Safe to say, my mission failed.

It was also a generally emotional phase, with me on a constant rollercoaster. I can safely call this a mental health break.

During the time, I read a lot, went on a few trips, ate even more, gained a taste for yoga and have generally been trying to return to a brighter version of life. [a successful attempt]

On a personal note, I faced most things a bit earlier than most of my peers. I hit puberty at 12, so the acne, periods, crushes were there when my best friends were still invested in my little pony. [great show though]

As much as I hated that when I was going through it, I feel kind of grateful now. I don’t have the ugly teenage pics era, I don’t thirst over every boy ever, making K-pop a less traumatising experience, and I no longer have a gnawing anxiety of the impression I leave.

As I hit 14 this august, I can happily look back on what I have learnt in the past 13 years and feel excited for this fresh beginning. If you’re into astrology and stuff, like me, I am in the first year of a new 9 year cycle this year. I have taken that as a confirmation that this is truly supposed to be a new beginning.

So, for the patient reader; after taking a much needed, impromptu break, I am back, for good. No more disappearing acts in the near future.

I think I’m comfortable enough as the first exams of the year have already begun, and my closet has gotten rid of the excessively thick and dark clothes.

I will be doing a re introduction article as a tiny fresh beginning for the blog around my birthday, so look forward to it.
