In a world of progress and development, we constantly work towards betterment. Throughout the years, change has been feared every time it comes. Yet the fear is proven wrong eventually. Truthfully put, the fears are understandable and not unnecessary. Although I stand with change and its viciously captivating nature. What I am discussing today is; the topic of AI. The most interesting and captivating/controversial topic of our time.

AI is necessarily artificial intelligence. A technology that has very recently broken the internet. It is what runs search engines, robots, softwares and now many other positions in the corporate industry. I stand with this change and believe it can do wonders in various industries.

The reason I so firmly believe that this will do us good is; firstly, it can take over many positions in the industry that are occupied by individuals who can do better in other fields where human touch is more necessary. For example, call centers/ customer care occupy hundreds of individuals who can instead work in areas of their own expertise. That can be fashion, food etc. This also encourages artists who resort to more conservative professions due to higher acceptance and need.

Next, AI simplifies work in corporate offices, this means more work gets done in half the time. It also results in workers getting more time to themselves and being able to work from anywhere; while resting.

Thirdly, I would like to put forward the point that government work takes a lot of time in any country you go and technology can simplify many complicated procedures.  Moreover, if AI takes over it, people can avoid travelling for hours and get it done at home. Need verification for visa, let AI send your application, scan it, and verify it before approving. This can prove a pivotal change in the lay man’s life.

If you should point out, but oh, unemployment will starve us all. I believe, it cannot. As Narayan Murthy said ‘AI will prove an excellent companion for all humans doing jobs.’ People doing more analytical work can use AI to increase accuracy, those in industries like make up and cosmetics, can use it to help figure what will look good on clients. It will also fulfil the ever-lasting need of corporate industries and open up places for people in artistic areas that need human touch. Be it art or music, AI cannot do what humans do. This naturally creates more high paying opportunities in areas people avoid due to low pay rate.

In conclusion, I hope we will be able to advance with time and create an even safer place online with the help of such advanced technology. I expect this change, like every other, will surprise us for the better.
